Oh and what a long, hot Tuesday it was. We left out of Sunset Bay Campground about 9am heading west on Route 66 with the Cheyenne, Oklahoma area in mind for our destination. We stopped at the little roadside motorcycle museum on the way. Cool little place and the guy was nice to talk to (and got a break from the heat).
Up the road not far from the museum in Arcadia we found the big red round barn which was cool to see.
After that we rode and rode until Mother nature decided to take a turn on us. We were going around Oklahoma City when dark clouds moved in and when we stopped in Okarche we saw severe storms surrounding the area.
We ended up pulling into a roadside motel in El Reno for the night and so did two other bikers who are doing Route 66.
I didn't mind, it gave me a chance to get caught up on work and go through pictures. I've taken 1,322 pictures so far. I made some friends at one of our stops and took their pictures ... meet Elmer and Fudd ...
You know I like me some cows LOL Here are a couple of my favorites from the last couple of days.
All in all, even with the weather, we're doing great. Yozef's trailer is still good and getting a lot of attention, we're meeting awesome people and just rolling with it!
